Boat and Bike Hire - Combined Day Out

Enjoy a relaxing cruise from Bowness Bay to Lakeside with Windermere Lake Cruises. The cruise takes approximately 45 minutes each way, covering more than half of the inspiring Windermere Lake. On arrival at Lakeside, collect your hire bikes from Country Lanes and explore the beautiful Lake District countryside. The 2 hour bike hire option allows you to choose a circular cycle route through Finsthwaite village and Newby Bridge or head for Haverthwaite following the steam train and the River Leven.

On the 4 hour bike hire option, you can choose to ride to Cartmel or Hawkshead. Both are picture-postcard Lakeland villages with a choice of pubs or cafes for refreshments. The Hawkshead route also passes Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter. For the more adventurous, a ride to Grizedale Forest offers some technical off-road tracks under the stunning forest canopy!

Finally head back to Lakeside to return your bikes and relax on the leisurely cruise back up Windermere Lake to Bowness Bay. A wonderful Boat and Bike experience!
