Take a morning boat or steam train to Lakeside at the southern tip of Lake Windermere where a quality bike awaits you. Discover the fells of the Lakes Peninsula from the easy-to-find cycle hire centre at the cruiser pier. Explore Cartmel and visit Holker Hall, home of the Lakeland Motor Museum and the magnificent garden festival, or venture north to Hawkshead. If you've only a short time to spend take a trip to the Stott Park Bobbin Mill, while for the more adventurous, the challenging cycling of Grizedale Forest is within easy reach.

• Tag-a-longs, Burley trailers, cycling information and accessories available for hire or purchase

Easter to October: 9.30am-5.30pm every day.
November to March: Closed - Bike Hire is available from our Windermere Cycle Hire Centre.
