Our Windermere Centre is conveniently located on Windermere Railway station, close to the village centre. Bowness village centre is only 1.5 miles away and Ambleside 4 miles north.

• Windermere is accessible from Junction 36 off    the M6 (approximately 30 minutes from J36)
• Join the A590 towards Kendal
• This road becomes the A591 as it passes    Kendal, follow signs for Windermere
• On reaching Windermere turn left, then    immediately left again and follow signs to the    railway station
• We are located on the railway station platform,    limited car parking is available

By Rail

By Bus or Coach
Windermere’s main bus stop and National Express coach pick/drop off point is at the railway station, within metres of Country Lanes Windermere. Lakeside Centre

Our Lakeside Centre is located behind the Aquarium of the Lakes, in Lakeside village. Grizedale Forest is only 4 miles away and Bowness village is 8 miles away.

• Join the A590 towards Barrow
• Continue towards Newby Bridge/Barrow
• On entering Newby Bridge turn right towards    Lakeside
• Enter Lakeside village and turn right towards    the Aquarium of the Lakes
• We are located in the rear car park behind the    Aquarium of the Lakes

Windermere Lakes Cruises regularly sail from Bowness to Lakeside.
