What is a Country Lanes Cycle Challenge?
The group is split into teams and issued an Ordnance Survey map of the area. Each team is then issued a set of questions and puzzles. The clues and answers to the questions can be found by using the map to navigate around the surrounding area, the route you take is your choice! Each correctly answered question or puzzle scores points. The team with the highest score wins. This is not a race (penalties are applied for early returns too!), so riders of all abilities have an equal chance. There is a prize, but the emphasis is on personal achievement and team work.
