Winter Opening Times – We are open most days for cycle hire and bikes can be booked online through our website. To book please click our cycle hire page and select a rental period in the checkout basket. This shows if the date is available. If the date is unavailable on the calendar, I’m afraid we are either fully booked or closed, so please select another date. If you prefer, you can also book by phoning us on 015394 44544, although during busy times we may not be able to answer, so please leave a message. We’re open every day from 9am to 5pm (winter hours may vary, but we’re open most days 10am to 4pm, or by arrangement for online pre-bookings)

Our cycle centre is conveniently located on Windermere railway station, enabling you to reach us easily and begin cycling straight away. The Lake District is a fantastic area to explore by bike and the views are unforgettable. We hope you join us for a trip or two this year.

The Lake District National Park is an environmentally sensitive area. Country Lanes Cycle Centre has a sustainable approach to tourism and we do our best to preserve this beautiful region. Where possible we use local suppliers, recycle products, our Windermere cycle hire centre is solar powered and we always try to minimise our carbon footprint. Our cycle routes, on quiet country lanes and bridleways, have been carefully designed to avoid congested roads or delicate natural areas. On top of this our staff regularly commute to work by bike.
