What is a Country Lanes Cycle Centre Challenge?
This is a group cycling event and the group is split into two or more teams, then issued an Ordnance Survey map of the area. Each team is then issued a set of questions and puzzles.
The clues and answers to the questions can be found by using the map to navigate around the surrounding area, but the route you take is your choice! Each correctly answered question or puzzle scores points.
The team with the highest score wins. This is not a race (penalties are applied for early returns too!), so riders of all abilities have an equal chance. There are small prizes, but the emphasis is on personal achievement, a fun day out and team work.
What is included?
Quality Trek or Marin front suspension mountain bike hire, group safety briefing, safety helmet, locks, souvenir Country Lanes water bottle, Ordnance Survey maps and small prizes for the winning team.
How long does it take?
Between 3 to 6 hours depending on the speed of the cyclists.
