Cycle hire, throughout winter 2023/24, is available most days by online pre-bookings. To hire bikes please select your preferred hire date on the bookings calendar. If the date is unavailable on the calendar, we’re are either fully booked or closed on that date. Please choose another date and we will happily help you explore the Lake District.
Child seats, by the award winning Urban Iki, are now available to hire! The seats fit securely on the rear pannier racks of our Premium+ Electric Trekking Hybrid Bikes, making light work of the hills! For extra safety and peace of mind the seat is locked in place with an additional device and helmets are included as standard. Transport your loved ones around the beautiful Lake District National Park in style!
Company director Guy puts the Haibike XDURO AllMtn 8.0 through its paces. At 950 metres, Helvellyn is England’s third highest mountain and there is a tough bridleway circuit passing over the summit! The AllMtn 8.0 is equipped with the 120 Nm Flyon motor, a 630 Wh battery, plush suspension, plenty of gears and this powerful eBike handled the route perfectly. Thank you Haibike for another great day out! NB. This is an advanced route only and was chosen to test the capabilities of a top of the range eMTB. We are pleased to announce that we have reopened and are now taking bookings for cycle hire through our website! Our shiny new fleet of Haibike electric bikes are raring to go and the powerful motors make light work of the hills. The featured model is the Haibike Xduro Allmtn 3.0 with a 75Nm Bosch motor, 625Wh battery, 160mm suspension and is a staff favourite! We hope to see you one day soon.
Temporary Closure – Following the latest government guidelines, the centre will be temporarily closed from 31st December 2020 until COVID-19 tier 4 and national lockdown restrictions are lifted, with a view to reopen on the 12th April 2021. Initially we have reopened for cycle hire by online bookings only. Bookings on the day are possible using your smart phone, although this is subject to availability. Bikes and equipment are cleaned, safety checked, then handed over outside the centre in the fresh air at the pre-booked date and time. For bike sales or repairs please email using our contact form to book an appointment. Only one customer may enter the centre at a time. Payment by card only.
